Ask anyone where they stayed when they holidayed in  Cyprus, and they will probably say it was a resort  in Southern Cyprus,.......... where EVERYONE goes!!

WHY NOT BE DIFFERENT?

Go to NORTHERN CYPRUS. 

 You will never regret it, as it is absolutely beautiful there.    You can enjoy a quiet, relaxing and peaceful few weeks in the sun.

I spent two weeks in Kyrenia (Girne) at the PIA BELLA hotel in March 2008 and was lucky to have glorious weather throughout.

The PIA BELLA is a smaller family run hotel, and has a 4 Diamond rating.  The staff are well trained, and nothing is too much trouble for them. You are even welcomed with a drink from the bar when arriving at 1am....on the house.

I have now been back to the PIA BELLA in the first 2 weeks of September, to compare the high season to the low season back in March, when there was no evening entertainment.   However, this did not worry me, as I prefer to spend a quiet evening.

The PIA BELLA'S evening entertainment in the season was quite acceptable...although possibly not geared up to please the younger crowd who may have enjoyed discos etc. But the youngsters go to the South of the island anyway, and the majority of guests were in the older age group.

The bar had now moved from the reception area(in March) to the garden(in Sept.), where it was hot enough to sit all evening, enjoying ice cold drinks. The daytime temperatures had been reaching over 100 degrees F. and the evenings were only slightly cooler.

A film was shown on two evenings for entertainment;

Tuesday evening was Elvis night with Danny Fisher putting on a terrific performance of Elvis songs;

 Wednesday evening was swing night with Johnnie Hawkins..a young Welsh lad..who also did a great job;

Thursday night was Latino night..a very quiet group who never seemed to really get going;

Then Saturday night, we were entertained by a Belly dancer in the restuarant...very good.
