The art of reborning involves taking what essentially starts out as a play doll and transforming them into lifelike collectable baby dolls
They are usually a very soft silicone injected vinyl with lots of detail like baby creases and dimples.
The transformation process involves many hours of work applying layer upon layer of heat set paints that will not fade or rub with time to acheive lifelike baby complexions.
The first manicure effect is next,and most time consuming of all hand rooted soft mohair rooting just one or two hairs at a time with a very fine needle to give a realistic baby head of hair.
Once baby is assembled with his or her new soft poseable body comes the fun part of choosing the layette.
It can take several weeks to produce the finished reborn but is well worth the effort.
The end result is a truly amazing and unique work of art to treasure for ever.
These dolls are now collectable heirlooms and are not suitable for young children.
