Something I feel strongly about it that there is very little help for people who wish to learn to conduct.  Often towers or teams have one conductor who does everything, not giving the opportunity to other ringers.  On the other hand, there are towers which have nobody to conduct, so they are confined to ringing plain courses.

Unfortunately, I have even found a few examples of Conductors who consider their ability to be a 'secret power' and have no intention of sharing the knowledge.

All of the above has lead to what I consider to be a shortage of conductors in our area.  Therefore I have attempted to do something about this by getting other willing volunteers to call touches and in particular their first (and more) quarters.  Whilst doing this I have written quite a few simple explanations regarding how to conduct the basics.  Since building this website, I have decided to start typing them up as web pages to make them more available to the ringing community.  Over time I will try to add more to the list.

I've now changed this section to include pages related to other aspects of learning to ring, other than teaching yourself to conduct.  Similarly, all documents listed below are information sources I've created to help others in our area many of which have been used as a part of training mornings.
