Hand bell recordings

This is a collection of hand bell recordings made on various different sets of bells in a number of locations (including some you won't expect!) being a mixture of tunes and method ringing

Tune ringing

The following recordings were made in Kingston church, Dorset by a group of three (myself being one) using 8-12 bells, 2, 3 or 4 in hand, using my set of 15 bells (tenor 21 in Eb).  These pieces were originally practiced and arranged by myself for the church fete and later recorded!  Not the best examples of tune ringing, but gives a feel of what can be achieved with a small set of handbells and a few practices!

Ode to Joy Puff the magic dragon Streets of London
Grandfathers clock New world symphony Skye boat song
  Eye of the tiger

Method ringing

Recording in the bathroom

This is a short recording from a quarter being rung of a set of six handbells (15 in C) in a bath room in Exeter whilst all of the band were sat on toilets.  Yes, two extra toilets were imported for the event!  This happened some time in June 2004.

This is a short recording of the "Cribley" six (1,2,3,6,8,10 of a ten) of the East Dorset branch handbells.  The recording was made on Friday 8th Sept 2006.  The method is mostly Grandsire Doubles with a variation ending!
