Triples compositions This page contains my own compositions. If you ring anything that has not yet been rung, please let me know so that I can update my records. Although I have proven all compositions on this page, please check for yourself, if nothing else for typing mistakes.
Explanation of the calling position and symbols
4; Become 4th's place bell at the call (for example call yourself to make the bob in Plain Bob Triples). B; Before - You lead 'before' the treble does. This is the position where you would make seconds in bob triples. Therefore at a single 'before' you would be unaffected and at a bob 'before' you would run out. I; In - Run in. 6; About the become 6ths place bell (for example call at 5-6 down in Plain Bob Triples). 5; About the become 5ths place bell (for example call at 5-6 up in Plain Bob Triples). H; Home - the 'home' position for the heaviest working bell (in bob triples that would be 4 blows in 7ths - 7ths place bell). 3; Make 3rds at the call (become 3rds place bell) - I only use this for singles -; Call a bob (don't ask me why 'b' isn't used - I'm only following the convention on this one!) s; Call a Single.
Some composers use M (middle) and W (wrong) in place of what I have labelled as 5 & 6. I have chosen to use 5 & 6, simply to avoid the confusion over which position is M and which is W that seems to occur in Triples compositions.
