Home Page LAST UPDATED: 20/01/08 The 3rd part to the story of the wine glass hand bells can now be in the wine glasses section of this site. Recordings of most of Dorset's towers can now be found on this site - only a few to go!!! This website has four sections, the first is a collection of quarter and peal compositions, the second is a selection of short recordings, the third is an insight into the lighter side of ringing and the fourth is the obligatory 'other' section. All compositions found on this site have been computer proven, nether-the-less, please check them yourself, if nothing else, to ensure there are no typing errors. Most of compositions on this site are for the more basic methods, but hopefully makes them more interesting to ring. If you find any mistakes or have any comments to make, please contact me at tim.rose2@gmail.com In the recordings section I am trying to build up a library of 10-40 second clips of all of Dorset's towers. As you can appreciate this will take time, so I will add towers and update with better recordings as I can. Often the short recordings found on this site are snippets from longer ones which can be supplied if you contact me.. I have also included a hand bells section, which will include both tune and method ringing. To my knowledge, nobody has ever explored all the forgotten sets of handbells hidden in churches and peoples homes, so I intend (when I get around to it!) to get some of these recorded. The 'Fun' section will hold details of some of the amusing things that go on in ringing as they happen in this part of the world. The 'Other' section contains everything else which doesn't fit into any of the above.
