A booming city with a long history of mining, we invite you to link to the various sites recalling the history of the people, the mines and our plans for the future.
Please note; much more will be added to this website over the next 4 years as Timmins celebrates four 100th Anniversaries! If you have an interesting history to tell, send it to Pam and she will include it on this website.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the webmaster, PAM DALLAIRE.

The Businesses:
When Timmins first attracted prospectors and developers, the streets were dirt roads, the mode of transport was horses and the horse livery was located on the main street. Horse power meant exactly that!
Restaurants, banks and other businesses had to start in prospector tents until their buildings were completed. Trees were cut down for firewood, not planted to create gardens.
