Mad Moonlit Musings of a Zombie Huntress

Cats don't become zombies. That's why they're cool.

The Zombie Huntress herself, getting by with a little help from her friends.

My fellow authors from the Wednesday Night Writing Group.  Tony, Joe and Larry.  Colby the dog is our second mascot, after Roland, of course.

This is Dave, me and Mike in our Ren Faire best.  June 2001.

This is me in uniform, in my former life as Queens Zoo vet tech.

These are the ruins of the old World's Fair in Flushing Meadow Park.  I drove past this every morning on my way to work, and included it on my noontime power walk.  Cool, isn't it?  Thanks to Marie for the picture.

This is Jim Gillespie, my supervisor at Queens and a wonderful human being.  He's now retired and sends me lots of pictures of "very cool stuff".

Mike and me at Simucon 2001, and yes that is a sword he is pointing RIGHT AT ME!!  (Mike won the drawing for the sword.  Showoff!!!)

While we lived in New York, the McBrien clan, Marie's warm and friendly family, welcomed us and made us a part of many wonderful celebrations.  Here are Marie's sisters Sheila and Bernadette and her mom - known by one and all as Mom - celebrating Mom's birthday.  How I wish we could have been there!  Marie, of course, is hidden behind the camera.

Just to prove I'm not a total cat elitist, I also have two pet birds.  The green one is Cedric and the blue one is Rowena.

Ichabod, giving Riley a good licking.  That'll show 'em!  I call this one Orangey Goodness.

Have I mentioned that I like animals?  And zoos?  And zoo animals?  Amazing how Disney trained this giraffe to just stand there while the tourists posed, isn't it?  Ok, truth time, I really like this picture because I look so skinny.  This was taken on one of the best trips I can remember, the AZVT Conference at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Everything about that trip was absolute perfection.  We met a good friend from online and spent a great evening on Paradise Island dancing up a storm (Line Dancing - What happens when cousins breed!).  My talk at the conference went great.  We bought lots of fun souvenirs to decorate our house with.  We had great romantic talks and walks together.  We had way too many drinks on the resort beach with Tammy, who we hadn't seen in way too long.  We enjoyed Disney and Orlando tremendously.  The plane didn't fall from the sky in a firey ball of deadly shrapnel.  Best of all, no marauding zombies reared their ugly heads!  It was like a vacation.
