Mad Moonlit Musings of a Zombie Huntress

Cats don't become zombies. That's why they're cool.

Hello and welcome. Please feel free to peruse my ponderings.

About the cat thing...

I didn't set out to become this crazy cat person, it just sort of happened.  I got a cat, then I thought he was lonely so I got another cat, then somebody found a kitten on the road so I got the third cat, then there was this cute kitten in the paper and I missed having a kitten around so I got the fourth cat.  We held at four for awhile, then I saw somebody in a NYC flower shop kick a kitten and stepped in and there was my fifth cat.  And after that it just kind of snowballed and pretty soon I had to change careers to keep up with the vet bills...

Honestly, that's how it goes with cats.  They multiply out of thin air.  Ask Kiera, who only had two kittens of her own.  I'm guessing the other four missed having a mom.  Not to worry, everybody has been fixed and adopted out to their forever homes.

About the zombie thing...

Ok, so maybe I carry the zombie obsession a bit too far.  But honestly, aren't zombies SCARY???

These were my actual license plates, until I got sick of being shot at by other zombie huntresses.  Honestly, some zombie killers completely lack a sense of humor.

About the career thing...

I spent ten wonderful years as the vet tech at the Queens Zoo (http://nyzoosandaquarium.com/5719193).  I retired in 2004 when I got Osteoarthritis and couldn't do justice to my animals anymore.  In this picture I'm perched on the edge of the alligator holding pool talking to Marcy while David uses a board to keep me from becoming an alligator entree.  What, me worry?

About the political thing...

My friend Marie said it best.  As she was running for her life amidst a crowd of other office workers who were also busy running for their lives, while blazing jet fuel, bodies and chunks of building rained down around them all she could think was:  "Holy Shit, we have a dope in the White House!"

About the personal thing...

I am lucky in love, probably the second luckiest person in the world.  The luckiest would be the handsome Mike, husband since 1984 and absolute love of my life.  Mike is very smart (maybe even smarter than me) with a kickass sense of humor and a laid-back attitude that keeps us going no matter what life throws at us.

About the fun thing...

My favorite holiday?  What else?  Halloween! http://www.freewebs.com/tilone/hauntedhappenings.htm

Second favorite?   Valentine's Day.  Yeah, I'm SUCH a girl!

About the light thing...

One of our first purchases as a couple was a novelty lamp, and we've been collecting them ever since.  We probably own at least 30 novelty lights and desk fountains, and I've turned our rec room into a shrine to conspicuous electrical consumption.  For more lights, check our light page by clicking here:  http://www.freewebs.com/tilone/lightsofmylife.htm

About the tattoo thing...

I just love tattoos.  To me they're one of the coolest art forms - and means of self-expression - in the world.  I have 7, and add to my collection every time I go to Vegas.  Hey, some people gamble, I hit a tattoo parlor.  To see my tattoos, go here:  http://www.freewebs.com/tilone/tattoowho.htm
