Tifton NYI

Doug Walls has been raised in the Church of the Nazarene and has served as a Youth Pastor at Augusta First Church of the Nazarene and here currently at Tifton.  He has 6 years plus in working with teenagers and college students.  He seeks to share the gospel with any all that will receive it, but has a strong desire to share The Message with todays young people.  When he gets a chance he loves to go snow skiing!! 

Brittni Walls was also raised in the church and has been the NYI President for the past 4 years in Tifton, GA.  With her strong desire to teach young people and her caring attitude she strives to do all that she can to reach out to todays young people.When she is not at church or doing anything else (rarity)you will find her on her couch RELAXING!!

We would like to make the announcement that we are proudly expecting our first addition to our family!!  IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!! The expected due date is May 21st, 2009!!  We are excited and soon to be proud parents!!

 Bobby Manders is happily married to his wife Melissa.  Together they have one child, Blake. They are heavily involved in the church and enjoy being around the teenagers.  In addition to helping with the teenagers, Melissa enjoys teaching a children's group on Wednesday Nights.  They bring a very humerous style to the teaching and "hang-out" times.  The Teenagers love having them around.  They have a desire to help the church provide a safe-haven for teenagers.  They believe that they will influence teenagers by living a life for Christ, by being that example in word and deed.  When they are not doing something at the church you can probably find them running Blake to Tae Kwon Do or some other activity. 

We would also like to say a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the Manders on the new addition to their family, William Thomas Manders!!  He was born on February 21st, 2009 around 11pm!!  IT'S A  BOY!!!!! He came into the world at 9lbs. 13oz.!! To God be the glory!!

Gary Abell is married to wife Mary.  Together they have three children.  All are grown and married and have families of their own.  Gary enjoys working with students and reaching out to them.  He is our #1 Bus Driver as well as a Great Mentor.  When necessary he commands attention from all in order to keep the order.  Along with serving as a trustee on the church board he still finds the time to be actively involved in the youth ministries here at Tifton First Church of the Nazarene.  He is young at heart and has a strong and passionate desire to see teenagers today live for God.  He is more than "just a bus driver".  He is a vital leader and mentor to all.

We will post a picture of him when we can get a good photo opportunity.  Some people do not like their picture taken.
