Volunteering
Volunteering is the most important part of any political organization. THS TARS prides itself on its extremely active members, and the fruits of their work can be seen every year. Volunteering is essential every year during election season. It is truly the volunteers that make campaigns successful, not paid staff workers. Every member of THS TARS should actively participate in political volunteering during and not during election seasons.
- All volunteering information should be recorded on this COMMUNITY SERVICE FORM, which can also be found in the Torrington High School guidance office. Record the information for every time you volunteer for a certain group, and turn it into guidance at the end of the year to receive credit.
- There will be a calendar at headquarters so members can write down their volunteer dates and hours each time they work. At the end of the election the information on this calendar will be used to develop volunteering summaries. Every member must put all volunteer hours on this calendar whenever they volunteer at the headquarters.
