General Overview
From surface-view, the Thrak-Ghaash is seen as one of the most sadistic orc tribes ever encountered. Their love for fire and their hatred of all non-orcs make them seem as demons trapped in orc form. There are two forms of Ghaashie, the Blakblud belief and the Ghaash belief.
Blakblud belief - Before the Thrak-Ghaash existed, there was the Blakbluds. They were a tribe with deep hatred for anything non-orc. They believed that the more orcs interact with the goodly races of the world, the more their blood would turn from black into red. Orcish blood is black originally and pure red blood would symbolize that all evil is gone and only goodness remains. Their built up rage and hate caused them to be the most ruthless tribe ever seen in the Shadowclan, often killing their own clanmates that seemed to be leaning too far into the red blood zone.
Ghaash belief - After the Blakbluds revolted and ScumGlug met with the Wargod, he brought the tribe back to the Shadowclan and named them the Thrak-Ghaash. Their belief was that the power of the Wargod was released with any kind of flame. The more fire, the more the Wargod could bring his strength into the world. Thus, the Wargod told ScumGlug his true name, Ghaashahk, and the Thrak-Ghaash became fanatic followers.
Those are the two beliefs that are generally held true for the Thrak-Ghaash. Some are pyro fanatics and wish nothing more than to set the world aflame so the Ghaashahk is free. Others hold true to their Blakblud past and bring pain and death to anything non-orc.
Tribe Structure
The Thrak-Ghaash basically follows the same structure and rules held true by the entire-clan. The tribe is led by the nobs. The are the spiritual and war leaders of the tribe. All major decisions are to be made by the nobs and the nobs alone. Second in command is any blood leader present. The blood leaders have the power to lead the tribe in any type of battle or minor decisions while the nobs are not present. Next in command is the guards, which differs from normal clan structure. The guards protect the nobs from any danger and have been around the nobs enough to know how to handle minor situations needing judgement. Last in command is the grunts. They are normally ranked by their age when no other rank is present. They are the soldiers and main killers for the tribe.
Typical Scenarios and How a Ghaashie Would React
1. Anyone other than an orc enters the fort, either through the front doors or through the back entrance.
This is an invasion! Issue a warcry and destroy the invader! Don't worry about whether they've been invited in or not. If they've been invited in, it is the person who invited them in's responsibility to inform you of this.
2. Anyone outside the fort, other than an orc, who can be seen from within the fort.
These are spies! Gather a small band and harass them until they leave the area. Ask them what they're doing there, threaten them, go into war stance, etc., but make sure that you eventually get them out of the area. If they attack, you know what to do. If they leave the area, but then return shortly, treat them as invaders.
3. Someone brings tribute to the fort.
The only tribute we accept has to be accompanied by food. The tribute must be placed on the ground outside the fort. Once you see that that has occurred, you can go out, inspect the food, and then take it and the tribute. You don't have to say a word to the interloper. If they're crazy enough to come to the orc fort and drop valuables and food, we're sane enough to pick it up.
4. A battle breaks out at the fort.
Find your tribe mates immediately! Ghaashies prefer to fight together and coordinate their own attacks. Determine who the highest ranking Ghaashie is and designate them the leader. Look to the leader for guidance, orders, and strategy.
5. The Ghaashies have engaged the enemy.
Remember to try to coordinate your attacks on a single target. Listen to the leader for the target. If that target begins to flee, the leader will tell you to "Chase" or "Nub chase". Remember, stick together!
6. The Ghaashies have scored a troublemaker PC (player character) kill.
Strip the corpse ASAP and take the skull. After the battle is over, all trophies and/or treasures gained will be put in a large heap and divided among all the Ghaashies. This helps to insure no humans get/loot anything and that the Ghaashies can later dispose of all non-ork items.
7. The Ghaashies have scored a monster or NPC kill.
Looting structure is the same as the ShadowClan's. Highest ranking Ghaashie first, then on down the list.
