Thomas Richman

 The Journals

The journals and diaries of Thomas Richman came into my possession in June 1967. They were purchased by me from a junk shop in Barking and are thought to be part of a house clearance from within that district.

In all there are nine books of varying size and content. The information published on this site is taken from the end part of one of these books. I had no idea when purchasing that this information was contained within and I guess that is the same for the previous owner. The condition of the pages and spine would suggest that they have been little read. My purchase was a spur of the moment thing with the intent of filling a recently acquired period book case. I myself did not read the books for at least two years.

I have shown one of the journals to several experts and have had its age confirmed.
