Help: Kirkham in the 1830's

Hi...

I'm writing a story taking place in the 1830's  in which one of the characters travels to Kirkham & am wondering what Kirkham might have been like (how big, what type of people, that sort of thing) in that time period.  I've tried to find out these things on-line, but haven't had much success, so thought I'd write straight to the source!  Can you help me?  I'd appreciate any info you can pass along.

Thanks so much.

Hi, Im sorry its taken me so long to reply, iv been trying to find out all i

can from my uncle! He has said that the address of the shop was 42 Marsden
Street, no postcodes in those days, and as far as i can gather the shop was
a grocery store. The shop had no name, and was just known as '42 Marsen
Street.'
I hope this will make things easier for you, and id like to thank you for
all the help you are giving me, it is much appreciated.
