Alright everyone welcome to the BELOW MAN webside.Keep in mind this is only a side site that I put togetter.I'm your host Irish T.Now I got a few interviews with the cast so lets read on.
Irish T:Hello Phil how are you?
Phil Steven's:im swell, just swell. no sleep for the wicked. lol but yeah im hangin in there.
Irish T:I understand your working on a movie called BELOW MAN.I guess I should start at,how did you come up with this movie?
Phil Stevens:To be honest, i didn't come up with it, it came up with itself. meaning, it started off as a comic, not a story, not a script, not even a plan or idea of what it was about. i just started drawing and kept on pumping out issues and naturally through i guess my own sense of humor and curiosity and fascination with things and being influenced by things that was running around inside my head at the time, the story slowly evolved on its own. a lot of what the comic is what i was feeling emotionally at the time. so subconsciously BELOWMAN is how i see the world, only exaggerated and how i would behave in this exaggerated world.
Irish T:Was it hard picking a cast?I know this isn't your only movie.
Phil Stevens:casting is sometimes. you get people you've worked with before and you bring them back because of the history you've had. you learn the strength of people's acting ability and what they can and can not do.having made many films with the people who are in this film already, really made casting easier. you have fun working with someone, you'll do it again.
Irish T:Want to tell us alittle about the movie?
Phil Stevens:Belowman follows the character Rubin Card whose quite a lonesome character whose forced to deal with a lot of strange but violent creatures and human beings.
Irish T:What are your hopes for this movie your filming?
Phil Steven:that it gets finished!
Irish T:I guess the last thing I would like to ask.Are you close friends with the cast?Maybe make some new friends on the way?
Phil Stevens:you always make new friends with each film you make. ive def created friendships and worked with people i never worked with before up until this movie began and its still filming, so there's probably more people left to tap into and unleash their potential. movies are made by the crew and actors alone, the director just sorta makes it all come together.

OK now I'm going to do a interview with the star of the movie,Tom Stevens.
Irish T:Hello Tom.Let me start out with how you doing?
Tom Stevens: I'm doing pretty good, yourself?
Irish T:I'm alright thankyou sir.How does it feel to be the star of this film?
Tom Stevens: great, i've played big roles before in Phil's smaller
projects, so its exciting to have the main role in his greatest project
yet...taking this opportunity to really demostrate my acting
Irish T:I understand your Phil's younger brother. How does it feel working on your brothers movie with him?
Tom Stevens: nothing new, even when im not in any of his films, i'm
still there for support and helping out, me and him have a chemistry, i
feel things usually work out best when we're working together
Irish T:Is it hard being a actor?
Tom Stevens: yes and no...acting is still work...even when we made
the comedy spoofs, all that was still acting and work...you have good
and bad days with it
Irish T:OK I'm not going to keep you long because I understand your
a very busy man. What words do you have for the people who might think
about acting in a movie? Things they should know and understand?
Tom Stevens: the biggest misconception about acting is, that it's
all fun and games...fatherest thing from the truth. People have to
understand, even though i'm working with friends and family...it's
still work...its not like a thing you can choose to do one day and
decided not to another...Phil calls you to film, you have to do it, and
it might require you to get covered in blood or do something extremely
gross, or go out in harsh weather...but if it's what you want to do,
you got to stick to your guns and pull through, otherwise your wasting
everyone's time

Ok now I'm moving on to Keith Miller.Rubin's main enemey...
Irish T:Keith I like to start off by saying thankyou for your time.I know your very busy so I won't keep you long.
Keith Miller: ok kool
Irish T:How does it feel to be THE MAIN BOSS in this film?
Keith Miller: Boss as one of the main bad guys... great always good to be bad
Irish T:Keith I understand your friends with the star of the film Tom Stevens. How does it feel working with your friend?
Keith Miller: Great .... friends who work together stay together
Irish T:Let me ask you is it hard being a actor?
Keith Miller: nothing in live is easy and some shots can be hard but it over all fun
Irish T:Is there any tips you would like to give to our readers about acting?
Keith Miller: acting comes natural... don't force it
Irish T:Can you explain your role real fast for the readers?
Keith Miller: Basically how I got into film making is I was friends with tom and phil.. Hung over their house one night. Started filming and I was hooked from there on out. In the new movie Belowman I am Ardeth Bey a serial killer who jumps worlds and kills mostly anything in sight. Besides acting I also take pictures, give advice and try to give a hand when I can
Irish T:Whats one of the things you like about acting?
Keith Miller: well I think anyone can read lines.. When I act in body motion or just talking I like to make it my own
Irish T:Whats one of the things you hate?
Keith Miller: Hate is too strong of a word for me... so I don't think I hate anything
Irish T:Alright thankyou for your time.Stay cool later.

Irish T:Steve welcome to my interview. So how are you doing?
Steve Hoffman: i'm doing alright
Irish T:So have you done any films before this one?If So can you name a few?
Steve Hoffman: yes i have done movies with phil i was in predatory space man
Irish T:Whats it like working with the one,the only Phil Stevens?
Steve Hoffman: its alot of fun and crazy at times
Irish T:So tell me in this film are you a enemey or a hero?
Steve Hoffman: i guess u could say i'm a bad guy
Irish T:Steve can you explain your role in this film to our readers?
Steve Hoffman: i play bob a tv salesman its a very dark role . he just doesn't care really about anything
Irish T:I also like to ask what do you like about acting and what do you hate about it?
Steve Hoffman: i love just being able to play someone else for a
while but i hate the endless takes and having to do the same thing 50
times
Irish T:I know this is very random but what kind of icecream do you like?
Steve Hoffman: vanilla
Irish T:Steve.what else do you do on this film besides acting?
Steve Hoffman: well like everyone else i have my hand in alittle
bit of everything i guess but more or less helping phil build the sets
Irish T:do you like being off stage or on stage more?
Steve Hoffman: def. like being on stage more
Irish T:Alright Steve thankyou for your time later

Now its time to chat with Miss Carmela Hayslett.
Irish T:Hello Carmela how are you?
Carmela Hayslett: I've been alright I guess.
Irish T:First let me start off by saying great book.(Big boots and black hair)(.. now at http://www.amazon.com)(Only $5)
Carmela Hayslett: Thanks! I actually just found out that some of
our boys stationed in Iraq have been buying copies off of amazon.com! I
never dreamed US military would be interested in my book! It's awesome!
Irish T:Next I would like to ask what role do you play in this film?
Carmela Hayslett: I play Maria.
Irish T:Can you tell our readers alittle about your role?
Carmela Hayslett: I think Maria was a small part but most
definately an important one. Basically she's a nurse who has hardly a
clue that her boyfriend Bob is a complete nutcase.
Irish T:Did you like doing this Film?
Carmela Hayslett: I did like doing my part for the film. It was
very gross but that's what made it fun! It's always fun hanging out
with Phil and the gang even if we're not doing a movie.
Irish T:Is it hard acting?
Carmela Hayslett: Sometimes. I'm a writer, not an actor, but Phil
always makes me feel very comfortable in front of the camera and he
shows a lot of patience. This role was actually a lot easier for me
than the comedy spoofs we used to do because in those there's a little
more pressure to stand out and make your role memorable. I think the
hardest part of this role was getting all the blood, cowbrains, and
make up off of me afterwards.
Irish T:I understand you know Phil Stevens, the man whos making this Film. How did you meet him?
Carmela Hayslett: I met Phil through mutual friends (Lauren and
Link). When I met them they spoke well of him and wanted me to meet
him. I don't know a lot of people like myself who takes their abilities
and imagination and runs with it. Phil does and I always respected him
for it. He's a part of a breed that needs to express themselves and
when he does express himself he's a genius at it. Us eccentric artists
need to stick together. He's also good for me to talk to when I have
that occassional writer's block. He always knows a way around it and
speaks to me about it in terms that I would understand. I actually hope
that he does the Roxsy Tyler movies with us because when I originally
wrote those stories I saw them as a Phil Stevens Production and hoped
Phil would take a liking to the stories. Plus, it would be great for
him to film me as Roxsy Tyler, I think my acting when it comes to that
character exceeds both of our expectations.
Irish T:Now heres something very random.Do you think this movie would be better if it had batman in it?
Carmela Hayslett: I think if Phil wanted to put Batman in it he
would have in some way, shape, or form. Haha. I usually believe
anything is better with Batman in it, but not in this movie. It's great
without Batman.
Irish T:Well thankyou very much Carmela for your time.

Now its time for our last guess. Our own Gen Casson.
Irish T:Miss Casson how are you?
Gen Casson:I feel like I'm on "Inside the Actors'Studio",& please call me Geni.
Irish T:Can you tell our readers what role you play in this movie?
Gen Casson:I'm playing the role of Claire.:)
Irish T:Can you tell us a little about your role?
Gen Casson:Claire's background is unkown. But she is introduced into the film as the prostitute that provides Rubin with his first sexual experience. Her looks are innocent but they do decieve.Yet underneath her deceptive & scarred exterior lies an understanding, lost little girl.
Irish T:Was it hard being topless in the movie?
Gen Casson:No not at all,I got over my fear of being topless years ago. After partying in New Orleans it becomes no big thing.*laughs*
Irish T:Is it hard acting?
Gen Casson:For me it isn't.It's a change of identity, a chance to live another life,a phenominal form of artistic escapism (does that make sense?).But most importantly,I have fun & enjoy it.
Irish T:I understand you know Phil. How did you meet him?
Gen Casson:Yeah, since we seventeen. We actually went out briefly but we always remained friends,& he's one of the best I'll tell you what.(man I'm feeling old, damn you, LiveJournal!!).*laughs* I worked with Phil on one of his previous projects "Decent" in 2004 as the doomed hooker Jackie & I had a blast, it seems like I got the hooker thing down to a science. *laughs*. When Phil discussed with me the role of Claire I immediately jumped on board.I really admire his devotion, passion, & talent in the field of cinema. He truly knows what he's doing & he is totally driven.I believe he's the "Roman Polanski of Indie Cinema" & I'm both honored & proud to be part of this project.I hope I have the opportunity to work with him again in the very near future.
Irish T:Ok, now for something very random.Do you like McDonald's or Burger King?
Gen Casson:McDonald's of course! That Burger King guy scares the hell out of me.
Irish T:Well thank you for your time.It was nice meeting you.Later
Gen Casson:Ditto,later,interviewing type person
I'm your host Irish T signing off...
