Hi, my name is Carla,
I was born 19th May, 1969.
I missed watching the moon landing as I was only 2 months
old but I've been told it was quite a good show!!!
If you read my poems you'll probably think
I'm a morbid person but I'm not.
I find when things get really bad and
I'm very sad, writing about it helps.
I've written just over 200 poems,
not all of them are worth reading.
I started writing at the age of 8 but
only kept about 3 from back then.
The rest were written from the age of 11 onwards.
I started drawing at the age of 11 and then
I managed to get it right about 12 years ago.
Up to that point I had only drawn abstract and
obscure shapes that gave people nightmares.
(The upside down house sitting on
a cat is one that springs to mind.)
Everyone has the ability to draw, they just don't know it yet.
My dream job would be to teach little kids how to draw.
Just seeing the look on a small childs face, when they
realise just how simple it is to put a few shapes
together and make something wonderful.
My son already draws better than I could at his age,
I'm hoping he continues into art school. :)
As I finish each art project, I'll add it
to this site. The newest ones end up on the
front page then get moved to one of the other
pages after about 4 weeks!
