Shawn, orignially from Barnsley, has been in the licensing trade for seven years. He is a very hardworking family man who enjoys off roading in his 4X4 and is a keen biker on his 19-year-old Honda 1000 F Supersport and regularly makes an appearance at the FWE Biker Meetings which were actually founded at The Wilsons Arms twenty years ago. He also enjoys boxing, pool, snooker and darts, and can be heard having a quick bash on the Drums at Wednesday's Jam Nights and singing on Karaoke at the weekend.
Emma who has always lived in Mirfield and is no stranger tot the Wilsons Arms as her mum, Julie, used to have the lease five years ago. She can normally be found wearing her hoody and trainers but does dress to impress at weekends, she is a going girly tom-boy. Unlike Shawn, Emma does not sing on the karaoke (unless she's had 10 pints!!!), but can always be seen with a smile on her face! (and if you can't see her, you can most definately hear her!!!).
Improvements
They have been running the pub since Christmas 2007 and have made significant changes to the place in order to attract a wide variety of clientele. A fresh new look with a lick of paint and a newly sanded and stained bar and floor have been done by Shawn as well as a wide screen television, a new pool table and a dart board. A quick spruce up of the car park has enabled an outside heated smoking area for the customers, with the personal touch of five-year-old Rhyce’s flower boxes and hanging baskets.
Behind the pub has also seen a big change, from being over grown and un-kept to a nice new lawn to hopefully expand in to a small decking area for summer BBQ’s and seating area for families.
A wide product range is available to cater for each type of customer. From real ale with Well’s Bombardier to alcopops in the most popular form of red and blue WKD and Smirnoff Ice.
Carling Cold and Fosters Super Chilled are amongst the draft, with Guinness, Stongbow and John Smiths.
A selection of bottled beers from Budweiser and Calsberg, to the Premium larger Baltika, to the alcohol free Kaliber.

All ages are catered for in regards to soft drinks, as we offer: Coke, Diet Coke, Lemonade, Fanta, Still Oasis: Forest Fruits and Citrus Crush, Fresh Orange, Tonics and Cordials.
All products are served in the complementing glassware. With or without ice for preference.
