RANK CALCULATOR

How to be promoted on Novaworld
First of all i want to state that this is not a solution for all. Depending on your playing style, it can differ a lot between you and other players. My document is based on statistics from Nova Logic. I have checked statistics on other players and i have tried to make conclusions after that.

Easy or Hard?

One thing is crystal clear. If you are an all-round player and play all type of games and use different character such as Medic, Gunner and Sniper. You should be able to reach a higher rank before players who only play as one character and in only one or two type of games.

Everything counts…
It seems like everything counts when calculating rank. The only thing I’m not sure of is if deaths counts. But if you have many destroyed targets in ad and you have been a good medic it sure helps you to receive a higher rank faster then if you only kill people.

Total Level
I will talk about a total level further down in this document. What i mean then is the total level you have in DM/KOTH/AD/CTF. For example you can have level 12 in DM, level 13 in AD, Level 10 in CTF and level 23 in KOTH. A total level of 58 in this case. Higher total level means that you don’t need so many kills to raise in rank.

When can i expect a higher rank?
This is not exact numbers. Read the table as this: If you have a total level of 50 you can be a Captain with only 1900 kills. And if you have level 40 in total level you may need 4800 kills to achieve captain’s rank.

RANK.................................KILLS................TOTAL LEVEL
1 Private......................... 1:st kill
2 Private First Class
3 Corporal....................... ~50-90.............. ~4-5
4 Sergeant ..................... ~200- missing data
5 Sergeant First Class....... ~150-180........... ~5-8
6 Master Sergeant ........... ~800-1100......... ~20
7 Sergeant Major.............. ~800-1800......... ~28-35
8 Second Lieutenant......... ~1500-2400....... ~30-42
9 First Lieutenant............. ~2200-3500........ ~35-50
10 Captain...................... ~1900-4800........ ~40-56
11 Major......................... ~3700-8400......... ~36-69
12 Lieutenant Colonel...... ~3400-9300......... ~32-80
13 Colonel...................... ~4600-16000....... ~70-79
14 1-Star General ........... ~8200-19000........ ~82-89
15 2-Star General............ ~11500-31000...... ~55-94
16 3-Star General............ ~16400-30000...... ~107
17 4-Star General............ ~20000-36500...... ~98-112
18 5-Star General............ ~29823-46000...... ~70-147
(70 is extreme. level 50 in KOTH, lots of zone time)

I borrowed this from another squadhttp://www.dfbarracks.com/forums/viewthread.php?tid=18394 )( , good stuff, when I figure out where I got it I will give them their due.

Hello everyone..i'm redneck from *DCE* or as others have seen my name in many Df2 servers as *r I've seen many posts about how people are looking to make a squad, but don't know how. so i decided to take the time out, and give all of a you a few tricks of my own. If any other squad leader would like to add anything please do so. The goal here is to try and help everyone who wants to make a squad feel more relaxed and at ease.

Tips and Tricks

1. Decide on a squad name, and what kind of squad you would like to be. For example. My squad *DCE*. Came up with the name with a friend, and decided that we want to be a TDM and TKOTH squad. by doing so, we where able to concentrate on them 2 types of games.

2. Decide on what you would like your web site address to say. As mine for instance www.dce-hq.com For some that are less fortunate to have their own domain and have to use a free domain its all good. Just be sure to have your squads TAGS in the addy. so everyone who checks out the site, can look up and remember what page they went to by using their history, or added to favorites.

3. After having the name, Game type of the squad, and a completed address, decide on certain rules you would like for your future members to follow. Such as, NO CHEATING, NO GLITCHING, NO CURSING, ETC....If future members cannot abide by any of the rules, its up to you. There will always be one bad apple in every apple tree.

4. If you are able to host a server, or if you go into partnership with someone who is ABLE to host a server, be sure to have it say something like *DCE* Tryouts, or *DCE* Open. This tells other players that this is a tryout server, and for most of us older players, it lets us know, that you are trying to recruit players, and we won't go in there and bother you. Just something outta common courtesy.

5. Recruit all that are interested. Be sure to get their contact information for further upkeep. If they are interested and you give them a tryout, be sure to add him/her to the roster on your site.

6.Practice> after you feel that you have enough members that are dedicated and reliable, start hosting some mandatory practices, so that you can see where your team is strong at, and where your team is weak at. Main thing is this, TEAM WORK. your members must be able to tell, that the other person beside them, can and will do their job. This builds trust. Try coming up with certain tactics for certain maps. this also builds team work and trust.

7. Scrimmages> I recommend for any new squad out there starting try doing at least a total of 3-4 scrimmages in probably 2 weeks of time. this gets your squads name out, probably build alliances with other squads, and gets ur troops used to fighting. If they where trained upon tactics, they should remember what to do.

8. matches> after you feel that you have had enough scrimmages go for the bigger buck. matches. this is the serious part of the game. don't get me wrong, even a scrimmage is important. But matches will either make you or break you. Before you even think about making a match, see how well your team did against previous scrimmages. Best thing to do, is scrimmage the squad you challenge or if they challenge you first. This way, if you either win or loose, you can work on what your team needs to do, in order to give that other squad a run for their money.

9. Leagues> This is where the big boys play. After your squad has made some wins, and you feel very confident in your squad, go for the championship. Put your team against the best of the best out there. Leagues are alot of fun, and you'll make many friends or possibly allies.

10. Fun> In order to keep a happy squad, it must be fun. Like alot of practices, scrimmy's or whatever. or just a night to chill out and talk about all kinds of mess over any com program you use, such as TS2, or Battlecom, or Roger wilco.

I hope to see some more future squads out there in DF2 land. and look forward to meeting alot more players on the field. If you need any help or have any questions, you may icq me personally at 99576460, or stop by our site at www.dce-hq.com

Take care, and i hope for all you future clan leaders, will use this information wisely...Peace ya'll
