Wake
Up to Lizz Brown-
By Joy
White
Lizz Brown's start as a radio talk host may be described as a fluke, but her
staying power is more than serendipity. While attempting to become a delegate
for the Democratic
National Convention, she overheard two people discussing
politics. "I leaned over to tell them why they were wrong," chuckles
Brown. One of the people was WGNU
owner Chuck Norman — their chance meeting led to a once-a-week spot on the
air.

on MTV Turning Black Faces Into
Blackface. - Chuck D The aftermath of the MTV Video Awards carries a business as usual
stench across the ever influenced cultural uh, black planet. The new
power elite in america the selection board of MTV. If I closed my
eyes and ears and went back in time it would've been an oily
Rockefeller gathering in the 20s,or a scotch and politic driven
Kennedy gathering in the 40s. The new power breed of selectors who
govern images to feed to the world youth, invisibly anonymous to most,
while being the choosers of who, what, when, why, and how.
Hip
Hop is Scared Of Revolution - Minister Scott
Flipping through the TV channels the other night, I saw the movie,
JUICE for the 100th time. I tuned in just as Tupac's character,
"Bishop" was complaining to his boyz about the lack of respect shown
to them and his feeling of powerlessness in gaining the "JUICE" (ie.
money, power, respect) that other people in the neighborhood had.
