WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE...YOU ARE HERE!

Hi there!

You look kind of lost.

If this is your first time in The Village, welcome! Things can be a little, well...'different'...here.

The Village is a syndicated comic strip from the mind and hand of myself, Vancouver-based writer/artist Ken Boesem

The Village comic strip is set in the real world Davie Village...a typical gay urban Village...where you'll meet a lot of 'queer' Villagers, in every sense of the word...or as I like to call them...your new neighbours!!! Did I mention the not-so-Disney-esque wildlife?

That having been said, you shouldn't necessarily assume that earthy wafting aroma is from one of the area's many skunks as marijuana makes up more than a conservatively estimated 7% of the Provincial economy where The Village comic strip is set.

New readers who move into The Village get to know their eclectic new neighbours of all sexual and political stripes as they follow their criss-crossing misadventures in this zany multicultural urban Village where dreams are chased in coffee cups and love and life go to be frustrated.

The Village comic strip currently reaches a readership of 90,000 people through the publications Xtra West in Vancouver, where the strip is set, and Capital Xtra in Ottawa, the nation's capital.
