You're probably either a fan, an anti, or a neutral party who has no idea what the hell this is all about. Well, the site was created so that there'd be some citique available for people to read, and come to their own conclusions. This isn't a hate site; the person or persons who run the place don't hate Ms. Meyer. Granted the prevalent opinion isn't that it's the best book ever, but you don't have to worry about being lynched if you're a fan. The forums and guestbook exist so that people can share their opinions, good or bad, of the book. Hope you enjoy your stay.
About two years ago, I noticed a growing trend on a forum I frequented. More and more members had usernames, avatars, and signatures related to some book called Twilight. So I aksed them what it was, and was told that it was wonderful, beautiful, romantic, the best thing since Romeo and Juliet. Curious, I bought it and read it. It was okay. Not great, not life-changing, but okay. A few weeks later, New Moon came out, which I also read, and I started to notice some problems. Namely, purple prose, lack of plot, and overblown melodrama. As I quickly discovered, main fansites would not tolerate criticism of the series. At the same time, after joining Anti-Shurtugal (a site similar to this, focused on criticising Eragon) I realized that Twilight "antis" could use a place to congregate. Two years, several conversations (including a ten-page thread on the Uru'baen forums) and a Freewebs account later, here we are.
