Q. Why did you start this site?

A. Long story short: I was sick of hearing people gush about the book, and being shouted down when I tried to criticise it. After discovering that there were people out there who shared my view, I made this site for them to critique in saftey, and for others to read what we have to say.

Q. Are you trying to convert fans to your viewpoint?

A. No. I find the books badly written, blatantly preachy, and containing extremely disturbing messages, but that doesn't mean I want everyone to think the way I do. I put this site out there so that people on both ends on the spectrum can read and come to their own conclusions. Nothing more.

Q. Why waste your time writing about books you hate?

A. I enjoy it, actually. Critiquing books is one of my hobbies. Incredibly geeky, but what can you do? I don't see it as a waste of time; I see it as an exercise of debating skills, a fun way to pass the time, and a way to improve my own writing

Q. Why can't you see how awesome Edward is? Are you gay or something?

A. I debated putting this in the FAQ, but it popped up several times in the guestbook. No, I don't think Edward's that awesome, and I explain why on the Characters page. As for the sexuality question (not that it has an bearing on why I dislike a book) the answer is no. And I'm sure that there are people all over the orientation map who belong to the site, so if I see anyone use homophobic slurs- either in the forums or on Livejournal- they'll find their IP address banned faster than the can sat "gay-straight alliance". And yes, that includes saying "That's so gay!"

Q. I'm a fan/neutral Can I join?

A. Go ahead! We like having differing viewpoints; it helps us the debate. Constant chanting of "Twilight bad, Twilight bad, Twilight bad" gets boring after awhile.

Q. Your layout's hard to read. Can't you fix it?

A. I can barely manage to run the layout we've got. So . . . no.

Q. [page] says UNDER CONSTRUCTION. What's up with that?

A. It means that there are either essays that have been written are are waiting to be posted, or that the essays have yet to be written. Either way, keep checking there, and there'll be something. Eventually.

Q. What about the forums? Weren't you supposed to get new ones?

A. See above answer. Specifically the part about "eventually".

Q. Who runs this place?

A. Just me, though I'd be happy to have others helping.

Q. So do you write the articles as well?

A. Yep. Again, I'd be happy to put yours up if you submit them.
