Do you believe there is more to life than just living and then just dying? Have you been raised with spiritual beliefs that have left you hanging without answers? Do you believe that there is no such thing as coincidence? Have you ever heard a voice in your head, caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of your eye, felt that you were being watched with no one there? Do you have this nagging feeling inside that death can't just simply be the end?
My name is Jan. I'm a 55 year-old mother of two college graduates. Although I was raised Catholic, I came to the conclusion at the age of 16 that there was more to God and religion that the church was telling me. Then I read the Edgar Cayce book, There Is A River, and my life would never be the same.
I didn't return to the church. Instead, I began to read metaphysical books, seeking the answers to questions that plagued me about our existence and purpose on this earth plane. It wasn't until 15 years ago, when I had my first "reading" by a medium in Northville, New York, that my eyes were opened and my path was set straight. She just blew my doors off! She spoke about my private thoughts, my deepest emotions, what was happening in my life and events that had occurred in the past. As the tears rolled down my face, I asked her how she knew these things about me. She told me she had spirit guides who worked with her from the Other Side. She was the Pastor of the local Spiritualist Church. Spiritualism is a religion that is based on mediumship - the ability to contact those who exist on the other side of the veil. They could be relatives, friends, guides or master teachers.
When I arrived home in New Jersey, I immediately went online to look for a Spiritualist Church. There was only one in the entire state - 1/2 hour from my home! (What a coincidence!) I attended it the following Sunday, became involved in the development circle held there, and for 13 years I have been trying to develop my mediumship. Mediums are people who can see, hear, or sense those in spirit, a la John Edward of Crossing Over fame. I'm not a "natural", so the process has been slow. In the meantime, I have read, researched, and talked with like-minded people and have learned much and greatly raised my consciousness and my vibration. I know now that the body is just a vehicle, like a car, that we exit at the time of death. The spirit maintains memory and personality, and endeavors to improve itself spiritually as we do here. They can come through to us to guide us and help us in our daily lives. This is done by a sort of telepathy, putting suggestions into the mind. Sounds crazy? Ever get a great idea out of nowhere? Do you think you really thought of that? Ever say, "Something tells me ......." or "I have a feeling....."?
Now that you have some background information, let me skip to the good part. Three years ago, I began conversing with a woman at my doctor's office about meditation. She told me she was an energy healer, although she didn't understand how she did it. She was developing so fast that it had her quite shook up. I helped her by telling her about Spiritualism that she wasn't crazy. We became friends. Stephanie performed a healing on me in her Angel Room at her home. Now, being a Spiritualist, healing is a part of the religion, but balancing chakras and working with crystals was a bit "New Age" for me. During my healing session, I had many incredible sensations, including a vortex in the center of my body and the sense of energy running up and down like a highway from my head to my feet. I also sensed a beam or column of white light passing through the inside of my head and out the top. I felt a pulling feeling on the top of my head. When I told Stephanie, she said that my crown chakra was opening. "MY WHAT????" I asked.
Stephanie loaned me a book on Channeling by Orin and DaBen, who are entities channeled by Sanaya Roman and Dwayne Packer. It was a "how to" book for beginners to attempt channeling. Once again I thought, "Channeling...that's that New Age stuff!" I tried their method and guess what? I started to get a few words that I realized weren't mine. I hadn't consciously thought of them. In other words, I was meditating with a blank mind, and a word popped in. I saw it in the blackness of my closed eyes. It appeared like typing on a page. I wrote it down. Then another word came, then two or three. I wrote them down. When I was done, I read it back to discover that it was a very religious message about the Light of God and was from a master teacher, Tso, who was working with me to help me in my development.
I began meditating and receiving messages every day. As the words came faster, I began using a digital recorder. I transcribed everything into a notebook. I have received messages from many different entities, guides, and master teachers. I was careful never to judge what they said, as long as it was good and uplifting, and they were in the Light of God. At first it was difficult for me to accept those entities who told me they were from the Pleiades, or other star systems. I never in my wildest imagination expected to have aliens talk to me! They call themselves High Beings of Light, and they are all in God's Light, or I would not be allow them to come to me in my meditations. I have also received messages from St. Francis and St. John; from American Indians such as White Cloud, Black Kettle, Black Hawk, and Yellow Tail. Others guides would have simple names, like Penelope, Jasmine, and Troy. But one thing is for sure - the words and messages that came through were not mine. Not my thoughts, not my ideas. They were, in some cases, things I had never heard of before, or contained words I had never used or knew the meaning of. Sometimes it was like listening to someone from another country speak, because the words didn't always translate and fit the sentence properly. This river of thought is often called the Universal Mind, and the messengers speak collectively, using the third person instead of the first person.
I continue to channel as often as possible, hoping someday soon I can do this for other people, to help them with their spiritual questions and to enlighten them to the wonderful existence beyond this earth's stratosphere. I recommend you begin to research, read and learn about the New Age. It is coming and it is going to be profound. I have heard the year 2011 mentioned as the beginning of the shift. Get ready, now is the time.
I also have become interested in the work of Dr. Alberto Villoldo and the Four Winds Society. I have received the Nine Rites of the Munay-Ki just recently and am already beginning to feel its positive effects. These are ancient rites of the Inka of Peru that Dr. Villoldo has brought to the West in light of the coming of 2012 and the need for everyone to begin to make their transitions toward becoming "Homo Luminous". I recommend that anyone interested in this work check out his website and find someone near you who can pass the Rites on to you.
