Bastard!

I've decided to take on a new doomed-to-fail-bless-him project.
This time I'm making things easier for myself by remaking a game that has already been made.  How to be a Complete Bastard was first a book by Ade Edmonson of Young Ones fame, then it was made into a charming little arcade adventure on the AmstradCPC, ZXspectrum and Commodore64.  I remember when this game was given away free on the covertape of Amstrad Action.  It never loaded and I never actually played it until very recently.

My version will barely resemble the original - I've only stolen the general gist of the game - and one thing is certain... It'll load quicker.

Please visit the Official Bastard! Game Page for more information and feel free to leave any feedback.

L O S T: Missing Pieces

The makers of L O S T have been teasing us with some very special mini episodes.  They are scenes of two to three minutes in length that aim to give us a tiny bit more insight into the show.  Each Episode is available to see weekly on your Verizon mobile phone, but as nobody actually owns a Verizon yet, ABC kindly sticks them up on their website the following week. There are thirteen all together, which should lead us up nice and snugly to the start of Season 4 which begins in America on January 31st on ABC.  I have gathered the existing episodes from YouTube and stuck them all on a single page, and I will continue to put them there as and when I can.

I'd like to note that the videos are nothing to do with me.  They are the property of ABC and I am merely providing myself and my friends a place to watch them without having to search for them all  individually.  I would recommend that anyone wanting to see these episiodes as they were intended should visit ABC.com or buy themselves a Verizon mobile phone.

A Letter from the Toxic Sock

Dear You.
What's it all about, eh?
Click on a few links. See what comes up?.  You'll find the Adventure section. That's all about adventure point-n-click games, which is my favourite type of game.  You'll find the Japan section.  That's because I like Japan so I'll be keeping up with all things Nipponistic there.  And as well as the usual Blog, Forum, Guestbook and Links pages there is also a little project I have in mind called ToxicTV.  This involves me going around with my 6-megapixel digital camera and recording weird stuff.  I'll post the results there and you'll even be able to leave comments.

Everything is in the early stages at the moment so theres not a lot of content.  This is the part where I invite you to help out.   Do you have any useful links?  Have you reviewed an adventure game?  Have you found an interesting article related to Japan?  Any contributions would make me really happy.  If you have anything contact Stu.  He's the real boss round here.

Hope to see you around more often.

All the best...

The Toxic Sock
