Site History

The Tecno Page started out on neopets.com. I made it to get the Tecna position in The-Winx-Club (later Winx Friends, and now officially is Winx Dreams). After spending an hour on this 1-page project, I decided to give it a name, and send the link to the owner of the guild (May). After awhile of thinking, I decided it would be "The Tecno Page". The theme has always been Tecna for 2 reasons, one, it was originally for the guild, and May suggested it be a Tecna page (since they had pages for each winx girl except for her), second, Tecna is my favorite character

Soon enough, we found some problems with Neopets.com homepages... so, with May's help and encouragement, this site was moved to freewebs.com (and still is). At that time, I was still a beginner at HTML, and sadly, couldn't access freewebs from my old mac os 9, so it took me a few months to even try to add to the site at all! When I did, it started with a measly 5 or 6 links and gradually, the links menu grew... so much so I did some re-arranging to organize better

The site grew, and people started asking to be staff. Thats when I realized it wasn't the guild's page anymore, but a site... I decided it should be a 1-person ran site at that point, but later I caved in and let people send in fanfictions. ^_^.

When the site was quite large, it grew very difficult to handle and update. May (I thank her soo much for working with me on this) took time one afternoon and the two of us made the site PHP (well, a form of it.) It made the site 99.9% easier to update, and it allowed skins to be used...it took all Saturday afternoon, but it was worth it.

Now with 60,000 plus visitors on the homepage, around 70 some regular links and even more fanfiction links, this site is doing pretty well, and I'm quite glad I didn't give up on it (quite a learning experience, now I'm not a beginning HTMLer. ^_^)

I would like to thank all my visitors for all the support.
