Information

Here is the place to find all the confirmed information, the rumours, the images etc.

General

Everyday Life:
- Sims will be able to wander freely throughout the town with no barriers
- Sims will be able to stop in the street and chat to fellow sims passing by
- Be  able to peek thorugh your neighbors window and watch them go about their daily lives
- Cars are not in the game at the moment due to the code suffering from bugs. They may make the final game though
- You can get food by buying forzen meals from the store, growing them yourself or getting them fresh from the local green grocer.
- The number of need bars has been reduced from eight to three.
- If your sim leaves rubbish around, you can clean it up, or if they leave a book out, you can put it back on the bookshelf instead of making them do it.
- Social interactions allow you to change the tone of a conversation, so being best friends doesn't automatically mean you're going to be flirting with them.
- All sims in the Neighborhood will age at the same time

The Neighborhood:
- Only one town called Pleasant Valley will actually ship with The Sims 3
- On the official site, there will be an exchange where you can download towns made by other players.

Create-A-Sim:
- Sims can be thin, slim, curvy, fat. You'll now be able to use a slider to adjust your Sims' body weight over a much broader spectrum, from relatively obese to skeletally thin and everywhere in between.
- Instead of choosing personality points, sims can pick six traits. There will be around 80 traits (which are brief words) like evil, paranoid, perfectionist, daredevil etc.
- Can choose seperate shoes for an outfit

Buy/Build Mode:
- Objects can be placed diagonally without cheats
- Objects will be much more customizable.

 Rumours

- In the The Sims 2: Freetime, there was a painting included with a description that led alot of people to believe it was The Sims 3. This has not been confirmed by EA, but the paintings description fits perfectly with what EA says The Sims 3 will have to offer.
