Featured type
You might be wondering what this is..well in this site I have decided to feature a certain type for some time (usually a month), meaning the site's layout will be based of the type and I will be giving certain information on the type.
Current type
The curret chosen type is the normal type. The normal type can often be seen as a 'default' type, because mainly pokémon which do not seem to fit in any other type (for example: Ditto) are generally placed in this type. Most cute pokémon also belong to this type. Normal type Pokémon though not elemental, can use a few elemental moves. Most normal Pokémon are based on mammals (for example: Persian(Cat) and Lopunny(Rabbit).
Normal Pokémon are generally considered to be one of the best defensive types. They are weak to only one type (Fighting) and are immune to one type as well (Ghost). Because of this, most attacks used against this type depend on the stats of the Pokémon attacking. Also helping most Normal type Pokémon in this respect are their high defense stats.
Offensively too, Normal types are quite good. Only two types are resistant to them (Rock and Steel) and only one type is immune to them (Ghost). When facing Pokémon with no resistance to their moves, Normal-type Pokémon can often deal high amounts of damage with a combination of high stats and same-type attack bonus (STAB). Also the fact that they can learn certain elemental moves helps.
