The Book of Revelation

The first part of Revelation chapters 1-3 describe the various types of churches that will characterize the Church Age.  These seven churches characterize the seven different distinct periods of time throughout the Church Age.  One church, representing a different period of time.  In this view, our present age would be characterized by the last two types of churches: The Churches of Philadelphia and Laodicea.  Both represent the end of the age.  When characterizing the Church of Philadelphia Jesus said: "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth" (v.10).   Why will he keep them from the "hour of temptation?"  for thou hast a little strength, and kept my word, and hast not denied my name."  On the other hand, the Church of Laodicea represents the apostate church.  He characterizes them as lukewarm and "rich and in need of nothing" and how they do not see how miserable and blind they are.  It is this church that will lead the world into a union with the devil during the second half.

However one attempts to interpret the seven churches introduced one thing is certain, that the growing apostasy and departure from the true faith in our churches is reaching incomprehensible levels and that in a lot of them, the presence of Jesus is not welcome.  His presence would only inhibit their introduction of doctrines of devils, stage shows, entertainment, and their own desires to rewrite the Bible to suit their own needs and their own doctrines of BAAL.

Never in a time in the history of the church has there been such a blatant attempt on Satan's part to overthrow the establishment from within the churches themselves.  It is a time of great sadness for the angels in heaven to see what is being done to our Lord in these churches today.
