Just arrived in Moscow. Waiting in line to get through customs.
This is the first McDonald's we saw in Russia.
On the way to Ivanovo, we passed lots of these colorful bus stations. I was
amazed by how many pedestrians there were in what seemed like the middle
of nowhere. It's as if they walked for miles just to get to these stations.
On our first trip we stayed at the Turist Hotel near the Silver City Mall.
The biggest surprise was that we didn't have hot water the next morning.
What a way to start the day! A nice cold shower, can we all shout hooray?
Here I am standing on a bridge that crosses the Oovod River in front of the Turist
Hotel. It was interesting to get up early in the morning and watch people walk to
work.
This is what it looks like inside the SIlver City Mall. This was also a great place
to people watch. Inside they had a grocery store where we bought things like
cup-o-noodles, cucumbers, and bread. This was our first experience with
having to put our belongings in a locker before entering the store.
This is the front of the Ivanovo Ministry of
Education.
