The Putzke Family

Fall is in full swing here in Michigan. In fact, winter is fast approaching. Although we have yet to see our first snow, the leaves have (mostly) fallen from the trees, the rains have come and the temperatures are dropping. It’s only a matter of time, we suppose. Here are some highlights for each of us this month:

Aaron continues to enjoy his job. His lab is getting closer to being set up and running. There are worms in stock and zebra fish not far behind. In November he will begin experiments of his own. It’s all very exciting! Additionally, Aaron has managed to get a couple more games of golf in, even taking Evan for the first time. We see many more of those trips in the future.

Wendi spent most of October running after the kids. She got a few girl nights and thoroughly enjoyed her two dates with Aaron. She’s getting slowly caught up on her scrapbook in between loads of laundry and dishes. Her mom came for her first visit this month, which was a huge treat.

Evan is progressing well in karate. He now has his second tip and is working hard toward his third one. If all goes well, he will get his third tip in November and then test for his next belt level in December. It’s so fun watching him learn and remember all the moves. School continues to go well and he, of course, has lots of friends.

Dannan went to school and ballet in between moments of “watching” Kellen for her mama. She loves making friends and going places and taking care of Kellen. The big news for Dannan this month was that she got a major hair cut. She looks adorable and sweet and combing her hair no longer involves a wrestling match.

Kellen rolls over all the time, smiles and giggles often and is doing pretty well sleeping. His naps have stretched out to nearly three hours and most nights he sleeps through. He is delightful and charming and sweet and getting great chubby leg rolls.
