BADLANDS FARM

Badlands Farm is located on the outskirts of the Hawkesbury Valley NSW, less than an hour from Sydney. The twelve acre property is just fifteen minutes from the Hawkesbury Race Track, Hawkesbury Showground, Kellyville Riding Club, Sydney Showjumping Club and within close range of two major equine veterinarian clinics and numerous Pony Clubs.

A horse owner and lover since I was six years old, I only commenced my lifelong dream of breeding and showing quality Miniature Horses in the last few years. My aim is to breed well conformed Miniatures with traditional tobiano markings and pleasant temperaments, making them suitable for everyone.

Our herd is forever changing, but we currently have 12 ponies, which includes six broodmares (four expecting foals), three stallions and three two-year-olds! I also have two full size horses; a Thoroughbred retiree and a crossbred Anglo Arab riding horse. Sadly, in June 2007 I lost my dear old Mini pony, Kitty, the one who started the obsession way back in 1988! She died peacefully at the ripe old age of 29.

Throughout my lifetime of experience with horses it has occurred to me that the best horses don't always cost the most money, and many of my best horses were the ones no one else wanted anything to do with. These horses often came with their fair share of issues, but it gave me something to work towards, and made me love them all the more in the end.
