The Orange Room Review

Accessible poetry of substance

Poems, Not Porn

by Gavin S. Lambert

In our bathroom,
In the cabinet under the sink,
There are poems, not porn.

To me, while going is the best time
For reading poetry.  I bring to it a
Special kind of concentration, one
That only comes when nature calls.

Right now, right under my wife’s
People, or Us, is my copy of The
Owner of the House.  A funny jux-
Taposition that speaks volumes of
The owners of this house.
