Dragun "TheOne" review

Bloencustoms Assessment of Dragun T1

After several months of owning a T1, I have a pretty good opinion of this marker.

To start with, I can't really mention price, because I traded a mechanical autococker for this marker NIB. It was retailing for $400 at the time, but they can be bought much cheaper new.

Anyway, my first impression was that the marker has a very nice glossy anodizing from the factory, and I thought the foam lined hard case was a nice touch. I was a little confused as to why it came with a TES manual, but since there is a wealth of information online, that wasn't a problem.

When I first took it out to the field for a trial, it was having difficulty reaching useful velocity. This later proved to be a faulty valve core in the LPR (a $1 fix, no problem). After that was settled, I took it for a spin around the field. I was impressed. The marker shoots smooth, the eye worked well, and it performed as well as I had expected. As the day wore on, I had a few chops and minor glitches, but I have never had a marker that functioned perfectly out of the box, and I've owned everything from Eblades to Angels.

In the weeks following, I replaced the stock bolt with a delrin timmy bolt. The inside of the bolt tube was beginning to wear from the friction of metal to metal contact. This reduced chopping significantly. I also replaced the stock barrel with a CP 2 piece, which tightened up the shot spread. The stock inline reg was substituted for a Mac Dev Gladiator, and the gauge replaced with a Bob Long. I replaced the stock trigger switch with a lighter one as well.

Now the marker shoots every bit as fast as any of my other markers ever has, and after re-anodizing it, it looks nice too.

Dragun's first markers were spyder clones with electronic grip frames (The Dragun LCD). These were an incredible value at the time, when it cost over $200 just for a centerflag hyperframe to upgrade your spyder. You could purchase a Dragun with an electronic frame for far less than a spyder and a hyperframe separately. At the time, this was perhaps the best value in paintball, you got the most raw firepower and performance for the price, anywhere. They are very easy to work on, and many players are already familiar with the proceedures from working on blowback markers. The body is the same, with a few important changes.

With the T1, Dragun has continued this tradition, offering features previously unheard of in markers under $800 or so. And with the current pricing, you can own a true electropneumatic marker for the cost of a hopped up entry level gun.

Dragun Drallion Review

Review And Pics Of Dragunfocker's Drallion!

The Dragun Drallion is an electric autococker made by Dragun Emipre/Odyssey International. They are 100% cocker compatable and take cocker threads. The solenoid is made my SMC. I want to write an honest review on it for informative reasons...

I got the drallion about 3 weeks ago from www.custompbsolutions.com for 285 shipped! It was so cheap because of Dragun's merge with Odyssey. The original price was 525, so this was a steal! I got the black one, because black is so sexy! But drallions don't come with a barrel, reg, or asa, so I bought a planet eclipse Shaft and slapped my Ergo and torpedo on it and it looked great! The first thing I noticed was how nice and smooth the dust anno was, I couldn't believe it! I bought a Zenitram Tooth trigger for it, but I had to use the stock trigger for the first game I played with it... Honestly, the stock trigger blows! There is a lot of slop and it is impossible to walk! So my first game was great! I timed it nicely (wasn't timed out of the box) and let er rip! With the stock trigger, I could only hit like 10 bps, lol! So I got the Zeni the next day and adjusted it and installed it. WOW! Much better! Now, I can hit 15 max, which still isn't the best. Only other thing I have against it, the stock switch. It's heavy, it's a mouseclick, but heavy. I have a new super light switch in the mail now, so I'll let you know about that...

Ok, so 7 games later, still no problems, and still in perfect time. After the trigger replaced, it rips! Being a mid/back player, the elecro-cocker really helped my game! But it could be better... So here are som pros and cons:

PROS: Awesome body, Nice anno, Very light, super low kick, very smooth ram, 100% compatable, fast,

CONS: stock trigger sucks, stock switch is heavy, feed isn't threaded, doesn't come with barrel, reg, or asa, Semi only (who cares???),

So overall, it's a sweet marker for 285 shipped! It will easily run with other e-cockers with a new trigger and switch. Most people don't like it because it is a focker, but I tried it and I'm in love! If you have any questions about it, just post, I'm glad to help!
