You Want Proof?
|
Do you want to know arguments to prove that Christianity is true? Fine. You've got proof. First, here's my favorite irrefutable philosophical proof that Christianity MUST be true:

Excerpt from "The Case For Christianity" (again)
"Christianity is a religion you could never have guessed. If it offered us just the kind of universe we'd always expected, I'd feel we were just making it up. But, in fact, it's not the sort of thing anyone would have made up. It has just that queer twist about it that real things have." End quote.
On the other hand, if you look at any other religion, like Islam, Hunduism, or Buddhism, they make perfect sense. Yes, Hinduism can be confusing, but it sounds just like something somebody would make up. Same with Buddhism. Ditto with Islam. Especially Islam. It's so simple that it just can't be true. Nothing real is that simple. But Christianity just smacks of that something that nobody would have thought of, that nobody could have guessed. That's why it is so repellent to the 'intellectual elite'. But examine the next proof, and you'll see why it doesn't matter what those elite think. |

There Goes Atheism
|
The number one argument of atheists against religion, especially Christianity, is that it doesn't make sense intellectually. But after reading the proofs above and below, you will see why using their intellect to disprove God makes even less sense than they claim Christianity does.
Excerpt from "The Case For Christianity" by C.S. Lewis
"Supposing there was no intelligence behind the universe, no creative mind. In that case, nobody designed my brain for the purpouse of thinking. It is merely that when the atoms inside my skull happen for certain physical or chemical reasons to arrange themselves in a certain way, that gives me, as a by-product, the sensation I call thought. But if it is so, how can I trust my own thinking to be true? It's like upsetting a milk jug and hoping that the way the splash arranges will give you a map of London. But if I can't trust my own thinking, of course I can't trust the arguments leading to atheism, and therefore have no reason to be an atheist, or anything else. Unless I believe in God, I can't believe in thought: so I can never use thought to disbelieve in God." End quote.
I just love that passage. It is such a forceful, logical rebuttal of all that atheism stands for. Go C.S. Lewis! |
