Photo Gallery 3: Copperfield Then & Now

This page compares modern photos of the Copperfield area to photos taken by my dad in 1981 when we moved into Middlegate Village, and in February of 1984 from his personal Cessna 172 airplane.

Near today's Labay Jr. High, there is a park that has been around since Copperfield's beginning, and this bridge still stands today, though the trees have grown considerably since the older photo from 1984.  The people standing on the bridge are my parents and my younger brother Greg.  I'm standing behind the tree, and our old family dog, Zero, is walking below.

                  MODERN PHOTO PENDING.......

I thought this was an interesting photo, taken by my dad from our rooftop in 1985 at nighttime, using a long exposure.  The houses in the photo are on Silent Cedars Drive, part of Middlegate Village.

HWY-6 @ FM 529 Overpass Project

In late 2005, plans were put in motion to build an overpass along Highway 6 going over FM 529, in an effort to ease traffic congestion.  I suggested a plan for an underpass, but TxDot will most likely refuse to spend the extra 50% to go below-grade with their empasse.  This is FM 529 at Highway 6 in 2005.
