Great Central Railway, Loughborough, Leicestershire, featuring all the usual events - battles - planes - military market stalls - music - 'bombing run' - uniforms of the period of both allied and axis forces - fashions military and antique vehicles etc.

The Royal Armouries at Leeds, tells real stories about the ways in which arms and armour have affected and continue to affect our communities and world. The 9 Fd Coy RE will be showing what was expected of a solider in WWII with displays running through out the day with a pow.

The worlds largest multi period living history event!
Gates open at 9.30am Arena events commencing at 10.00am. Show closes at 5.30pm on Saturday & 5.00pm Sunday and Monday.
        

14-18                      September:  

1 Airborne Div Op : Operation Market Garden 62 . Commemoration of the 62nd Anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem. Leaving York 1500hrs 14/9 to return 1000hrs 18/9.

Watch this space for news of next years Arnhem trip where members of the unit plan to spend nine days dug-in followed by a river crossing to Driel. Now designated OPERATION URQUHART.
