Below is an up-to-date timeline of the Munster format in all carnations.

December 1943 - "THE MONSTER FAMILY" concept conceived by Bob Clampett, and taken to Universal Studios.

January 1964 - the concept of "The Monster Family" adapted by Chris Hayward and Al Burns.

March 1964 - Input from Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher, and further script development Norm Liebmann and Ed Haas.

April 1964 - "My Fair Munster" (unaired presentation pilot starring Joan Marshall, Al Lewis, Happy Derman and Beverly Owen - colour).

May 1964 - "My Fair Munster" (second unaired presentation pilot - B&W).

September 1964 -  "My Fair Munster" (Pilot episode starring Yvonne De Carlo, Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis, Butch Patrick and Beverly Owen - B&W).

October 27th - ABC Halloween Special "The Mini-Munsters" cartoon special (pilot episode of a series that was not picked up). (NOTE - Grandpa voiced by Al Lewis).

February  27th 1981 - "The Munsters' Revenge" aired on NBC. (NOTE - The Munsters Revenge starred K.C Martel as Eddie and Jo McDonnel as Marilyn. The rest of the cast returned to reprise their roles.

THE MUNSTERS TODAY:

August 1988 - "Still the Munsters After All These Years" presentation pilot starring John Schuck, Howard Morton, Lee Meriwether, Jason Marden and Mary Ellen Dunbar. (Black & White and Color).

September 1988: Mary Ellen Dunbar is replaced by Hilary Van Dyke as Marilyn.
