BIO: Ever since he was born in London, England on August 4, 1859, Abraham Simpson knew he was a special child.  His mother, Nancy Shrew, had gone down in history as the first female mouse detective, & he was destined to be next in the line of crimefighters.  Of course, Abraham’s childhood wasn’t too different from that of the average mouseling.  He made excellent marks in school & often did community service, but was a bit of a loner & loved to read mystery novels to pass the time.  Upon learning more about his mother & her occupation, Abraham grew even more enthusiastic about his future career: to be a mouse detective...

And so his quest began.  Abraham studied even more fervently in school, especially in his chemistry, forensics, & criminal justice classes at college.  After graduating from Oxford, he set up lodgings in the West End, & took over the Mouse Detective Agency after Monsieur Victor Claudius had been fired & stripped of his duties for disorderly conduct.  Abraham, now having added a “Chief” to his name, began to shape his new detectives into the expert crimefighters they are today.  During the transformation of the squad, however, Abraham also formed a strong bond with Basil Of Baker Street, whom he considers his “finest employee”.  To this day, Abraham can still be seen working at the Mouse Detective Agency, solving cases & catching criminals.

With impeccable manners & the heart of a noble warrior, Abraham Simpson is determined to keep his fellow rodents safe from harm, & would gladly die for his country.  Maintaining a gentle disposition & a smile through every challenge that is hurled in his direction, this sweet-natured detective is courteous, friendly, polite, & kind to everyone he meets, especially children, whom he adores dearly; a modern knight in shining armor, he also shows a sense of chivalry towards the ladies.  Like many of his employees, Abraham is meticulous & observant, & not a detail can escape from his eyes; however, he is not without his flaws.  Easily-irritated & hot-tempered, he can fly into a rage at the drop of a hat, & tends to suffer violent mood swings; sadly, Abraham also shows a sense of pride & arrogance that Basil Of Baker Street frowns down upon terribly, as he is constantly bragging about “the best police force this side of London”.  However, despite his flaws, Abraham Simpson is a decent mouse with a heart of gold, & may be approached without caution.

Abraham Simpson, after being given the real name of “Grampa” in “The Simpsons” (pictured left), was later modeled after Chi Fu (from “Mulan”, pictured center) for his cocky characteristics, as well as his former voice actor James Hong.  Later, when Abraham’s character was changed considerably, Mr. Waternoose (from “Monsters, Inc.”, pictured right) became a model for his stern, yet fatherly & kind qualities.
