The Moorings B&B has excellent views over Mevagissey harbour and coastline as far as Devon. Unusually for a harbourside property, it offers both harbour views and private parking on the premises.
We offer a friendly and informal atmosphere. We have been a family-run B&B since 1948, and welcome back many guests year after year.
There are two en-suite double rooms available, with tea making facilities and harbour views, priced at £22.50 - £25.00 per person, per night. This includes a full English breakfast, or alternatives, served in the dining room with views over the harbour. There is also a third room available, with private facilities, athough they are not en-suite.

The harbour is a short walk away, where fishing boats are moored in both inner and outer harbours. There are many local restaurants and attractions of interest. Fishing has always been important here and was responsible for the growth of the town from a tiny hamlet in the 16th Century, to the village which we see today. The old centre consists of very narrow, picturesque streets with a wide choice of places to eat and shop.
During the summer months you can enjoy a trip on a boat around the bay, or try sea angling. A ferry also runs several times a day from Mevagissey to Fowey.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of the best loved attractions in Cornwall, is only two miles away by car - and closer by foot or cycle path. The Eden Project is also not far - 9 miles from Mevagissey.
Places of interest in Mevagissey include the Mevagissey Museum, World of Model Railways, Mevagissey Harbour Aquarium and the Old Pilchard Cellars. Nearby there is the 15th Century Church at Gorran, Polmassick Vineyard, Caerhays Castle, Dodman Point, also many sandy beaches.
The coastal footpath passes by the house, and there are several inland footpaths which could provide circular walks, which could be extended by using the local bus network.
