| Group Profile |

The Minstrel is a vocal ensemble composed of young professionals and
students who have bonded together all for the love of music and
singing. Organized in July 2002, the group is based in Baguio City, and
sings an almost entirely A Cappella repertoire.
The group has
performed at The Manor (Camp John Hay), The Baguio Country Club, at
local churches, and other establishments in the city. The Minstrel had
its first major, launching concert in December 2002. From thereon,
several concert performances and concerts-for-a-cause were staged. As
has always been the groups passion to share their music, The Minstrel
performs as a way to reach out by singing to patients in hospital
wards, to the inmates at the national bilibid prison, and even to the
Filipino OFWs in the Rescue House of the Philippine Embassy in
Singapore.
The group is also well-immersed in performing at
various occasions like weddings, engagement parties, christenings,
banquets, and other entertainment affairs. Although they sing mostly in
A Cappella, the members are also endowed in playing various string and
wind instruments which they include at times in their performances.
With
their vision to sing-and-share at home and anywhere in the globe, The
Minstrel was able to represent the Philippines in December of 2005
during the Celebrate Christmas in Singapore (CCIS). They joined other
performing artists from different countries around the world, and
showcased their very own cultural heritage through music.
The
Minstrel continues to live out their vision and mission, that is to
sing and share music to others in Gods honor, wherever and whenever
they can. |
