As we approach the new year I thought it would be suitable to give a bit of an update as the last one wasn’t since January.

Sadly not a lots happened in the last 12 months. We parted company with Simon in January after a long spell of inactivity although his work has not been forgotten and can be found on our first ep which is in the audio section. We then took on our friend Joel on drums of The Thieves fame on a part time basis, plodded along through the spring playing a handful of gigs until the summer came and it ran out of steam. July saw a shambolic return for a Ponce in the Park fundraiser at Bar Vida which saw Joe playing drums and our good friend Matt stepping in to play bass from the rather excellent Biba.

We then split from an exhausted Joel and began a Derby-wide search for a new drummer. After several replies and a couple of auditions we found ourselves with some more-than-worthy candidates but there was still something missing. The recent sad disbanding of The Thieves saw Joel rejoining on a full time basis.

Now at a stage of working on new songs for our next release which will hopefully be early 2006 things haven’t been better. The new stuffs sounding excellent at its early stages and we hope to have secured a new practice facility in the form of a local church! We’ve also got our first gig of 2006 at the Victoria Inn, February 7th with Countryboy Delinquent (ex members of The Thieves/Pumpcar)

On a lighter note if our site doesn’t suit your needs we’ve had our first official fansite created by our worryingly dedicated friend Alan, although most of the information has been copied and pasted from here.

Merry Christmas

Due to circumstances there has been very little activity since September. Theres a couple of new songs finished and we expect to debut them at the next gig (Jan 11th, The Vic). There may also be another recording session in the coming months... If we actually get round to it that is.

We've had a couple of mentions in Stressed Vol. 1 reviews by: Diskant, Die Shell Suit, Tasty Fanzine, Vanity Project and one from an angry young man at The Communion in which we were the only band mentioned?!

Ivory Sirens has also been played on Siren Online and we had a brief mention on Radio 1 from Steve Lamacq a few weeks ago.
