QR Code Social Media experiment:

This experiment is a prototype system I am trying to develop that will provide a method of getting customers to transfer from reading printed marketing materials (eg. newspaper advert / posters / leaflets / flyers) to visit online marketing content.

The aim is to utilise QR (Quick Response) codes in print format to enable internet enabled mobile devices to quickly scan an image that directly links to an online presence.

This will then provide further links to other multimedia content, which the viewer is encouraged to visit before being asked to fill out a form online answering quesions about the content.

The viewer will want to answer the questions, because of the incentive given to provide correct answers.

Step by step instructions:
• STEP 1: Find the QR code that directs you to the website. (This would be on printed materials).
• STEP 2: Scan it using a QR code reader on a smart phone.
• STEP 3: Follow each link to view (for example) 9 pieces of multimedia content (Photo, Video, Article).
• STEP 4: Once you have clicked through all the online content, visit our Facebook page to find the link to our submission for.*
• STEP 5: Answer all the questions on our submission form and click send. (The answers are within the multimedia content).
• STEP 7: You would be entered into a prize draw, to win a prize.
