Being a writer is a journey only truly understood by others attempting it; no person who isn't a writer could possibly understand the toil, heartbreak, struggle, or indescribable rewards of our craft. A writer must pay attention to every infinitesimile detail, harden themselves against the tribulations of others, and be a god among their created universes. We must find our niche, strive to stay in it while striving to break free, all the while keeping a tentative hold over the fickle flow of inspiration, elusive as a shooting star in a long, dark night.
