a wide variety The Thrift Store Our thrift store, located at the corner of Hurley ave and Winifred ave in Bayard, NM raises much of the funds needed for the daily operation of the sanctuary including feeding and otherwise caring for our beloved animals. Because of a consistant flow of generous donnations to the store from caring people of the community, we are able to keep up the operation of the sanctuary but donations are always welcome. The thrift store, only in operation for 5 months is constantly being improved and we have a great selection of gently used items ranging from dishes to pictures to toasters and chairs!

Our Tax Exempt StatusThe Lazy Pig Animal Sanctuary and Thrift Shop is a non-profit organization (EIN 61-1505680) supporting animal rescue, spay and neutering and cae and caretaker education in our commumity of Silver City, Bayard, Hurley and Santa Clara New Mexico. All your donations and purchases made at our thrift store at 200 winifred in Bayard, NM are tax deductible and go to a great cause. We also have a great program where you can Virtually Adopt an animal at the shelter

Animal Activism Our animal activism consists primarily of rescue and care of neglected, abused or unwanted animals through our sanctuary facility. It also consists of community education and service. We also support any legislation that seeks to protect the lives of and improve those of all animals
