POWER TRIP WRESTLING

Power Trip Wrestling (PTW) is a Luton-based professional wrestling company that utilises some of the top UK grappling stars alongside the sport’s upcoming domestic talent. We are a family-run business that extols the virtues of a family-friendly product, something becoming increasingly rare in the world of professional wrestling.

PTW is run by Peter Staniforth, who has worked for over 8 years in the wrestling industry; and has gained the necessary experience and contacts to make PTW the success its staff and the town of Luton deserve. While other companies have tried to tap into Luton’s appetite for wrestling, only PTW has a reputation for running consistent and high quality shows, and it continues to do soon a regular basis. As a promotion they are also expanding into other areas, with PTW "Fearless" having taking place in Stevenage on 17th November 2007, PTW "New Beginnings" having taken place in Wakefield on 2nd February 2008, and more shows being planned in other areas of the UK in the future.

Power Trip Wrestling shows have featured wrestlers who’ve performed at the highest level, such as WWE-contracted superstars Blackjack Phoenix and Lance Malibu, as well as British talent seen on the most-watched wrestling show in the world, “WWE Raw”, such as Andy Boy Simmonz who was featured on the programme in 2007. In 2008, PTW have featured European talent such as Roberto 'The Bull' Lequimez and Dr Gangreen, American independent talent such as Al-Jihad (from the New York area); and are always looking for more such as this.

PTW proudly displays the best in UK talent, with performers such as Jonny Storm, Stixx, El Ligero, and Bingo Ballance having a wider national presence having regularly appeared on TWC Fight (Sky Digital Channel 427); and veterans such as Johnny Kidd having a pedigree that extends all the way back to the days of ITV’s “World of Sport” programme. PTW also provides a platform for the promising future stars of British Wrestling, with the likes of Shabazz, G 'The Ghetto Superstar', and Paul McSherry who are more impressive with every passing show.

Having secured sponsorship with www.thesquaredcircle.co.uk, PTW is eager to form partnerships with more businesses, particularly those of local interest. With a back catalogue of shows released on DVD and with local press coverage in the Luton News and Luton on Sunday newspapers and heavy internet coverage, Power Trip Wrestling is a company on the up, looking to secure itself firmly in the ever-expanding British Wrestling business.
