-LOIN SHANK CUT-
"There are two sides to every story... but rarely do we hear both.

The complexity of human nature keeps us forever in the dark. In our frenzied struggle to find truth, we cut ourselves short through anger and ignorance. Our actions give definitive power to our beliefs, regardless of how destructive they may be.

Believing in something doesn’t make it true. Inflicting your beliefs on other people doesn’t make you right.

But instincts are different than beliefs.

Instincts are the closest neighbor to truth. They feed us vital doses of self preservation and rational thought. When you live from your gut... your actions cut through indecision like a razor. Your logic is flawless, your direction unmistakable.

Reality lies in the pit of your stomach.

Therefore we must take action on our instincts. When a loved one turns down a dangerous path we swiftly pull them back... not because we believe they are making a mistake... but because we know they are."

The ‘Loin Shank Cut’ follows Delia down the same dark path. However, this time around we see the story unfold through the eyes of her doomed boyfriend. Jason is a passionate and conflicted young man whose unrelenting angst tends to get the better of him. He tries to protect his girlfriend the best way he knows how; but he soon learns that trying to control other people can have dangerous consequences. Compared to the original version, this adaptation of the film uses a completely different narrative approach to tell the story. It incorporates a substantial amount of new footage and voice-over narration from Jason’s inner most thoughts. It is a look at dark, thrilling cinema with a twist of poetic justice.
