The Guppy Diet
Guppies are like humans, they don't like eating the same foods over and over again. They like a supplement like frozen or live food for them to thrive.
Livebearers need a high vegetable diet so a good idea would be to feed them Tetra pro vegetable or something similar to that. Other foods such as Tetramin, Aquarian, King British and other foods similar to the ones mentioned should be ok.
But the food I most highly reccomend is Hikari fancy guppy, it is the best food you can buy for guppies.
My tip: If you don't use a food with a high vegetable content then feed them finely chopped spinach once every two weeks.
Guppies also need to have a lot of live food; you should feed them twice a week, or more. But fry and baby fish should get live food more often, frozen or live it doesn't really matter. Live food or frozen food that is suitable to feed your fish is:
> Daphnia
> Brine Shrimp or Napoli ( newly hatched brine shrimp )
> Small Gnats ( only for adult guppies )
> Tubifex worms
> Small Bluebottles ( again only for adults )
> Microworms
>Fruit Flies
> Red, White and Black Mosquito pupa.
These are only a few of the foods that you can feed your guppies.
