About Our Tribal Bellydance Custom Designs

These are yummy specialty items you can custom order from The Goddess Garden. Please read the blabbity blab below before ordering because I dont honor refunds, returns or exchanges!

How long till I get it?
I am often away on fun travels to belly dance festivals, shopping excursions for goodies for you, and SCA wars, so it is always best to e-mail me first to get a "time of completion" quote. You can count on most orders taking 2-6 weeks for delivery, depending on my in-studio status. We do not and can not do rush orders on custom pieces. IF we have items in-stock and IF we are in-studio, we *might* be able to accommodate you for a surcharge for rush shipping/ordering.

Please understand that some items can take as long as 2 months to receive. If anything I design for you requires my having to make orders for supplies (let's say extra big busted gals needing a parachute for a bra :-)) then that too will add some wait time on your end. To save time, you can always ask what I have on hand to see if it is to your liking or in your size.
It is YOUR responsibility to send measurements if you have a body that is larger, smaller, taller, enhanced or whatever, in any one area. If you are a size 10 but your bust is a triple threat, that medium beledi dress may not go over those ta-tas.
Most items, if not all, are made to order. This takes time my lovelies. I make it special just for you. So, with your order, I require a nice friendly does of patience from you. Thank you ahead of time. It'll be worth it.

How can I pay you?
Paypal payments are preferred and Paypal accepts your check or credit card or debit card payment.  We no longer accept money orders, personal checks or credit card payments at this time; I have handled too much fraud to go through that pain again. Paypal accepts E-checks and credit cards, so there's your solution.

Wow! This is gorgeous! How do I wash and care for it?
Most items can be hand washed in cool water, and hung or laid flat to dry. I don't recommend machine washing anything. A lot of the gorgeous imported fabrics I get are on a bolt with no care instructions. So do like they do in India and wash that thing with your little mitts. For the costume bras, you should wear another bra under to avoid staining, soiling or otherwise funktifying your costume bra (which I do not recommend washing). If garments smell funky due to smoke, air them out outdoors for about 2 days and then fabreeze it or mist it with some body spray or a diluted vodka solution. Also, IAny further care details, just e-mail me. I am on-line lots.

Danger-Warning-Danger!
Some of the items I sell are flammable and I know some of you dancers like to play with fire (candles, poi, incense, etc) and some of my hair accessories may be made with heavy objects near the ends like beads, bells, coins, shells, etc...use caution while dancing so as not to swing the item around to knock you in the eye or tooth. You wear my stuff at your own risk. Use common sense. Many of the items I sell are made from imported synthetic fabrics. If you are a fire performer, make sure you inquire about what items I sell in natural materials.

Returns, refunds, exchanges:

I do not honor refunds, returns, or exchanges any longer. Sorry-too many bad experiences with items being worn first then returned sweaty, damaged or stained.
Items made with tribal accents may have some slight wear and tear due to the antiquity of some of the accents I use. These are old tribal pieces and cracks, chips, missing glass come with the territory at times. But if you are "tribal" you know this already.

How do I love thee?
Thank you from the deepest recesses of my little tribal heart. I love designing your costumes and accessories and I even love the odd little job of foraging through tubs and trunks of tribal junk to pick out the cool stuff for you. My biggest joy is to walk by someone whose face I do not recognize, but realize they are wearing my costuming. Another big joy for me? Seeing a whole gaggle of women donning my designs while dancing at a festival. And I really like it when you pop over to my booth and say, "Are you Kahlea? I bought blah-blah from you on your website." What a freaking rush that is! So THANK YOU in the biggest way.

Kahlea
