Updates

8th November 2008

Hi there! It's been a while, but my promotional exams are finally and most definitely over. Some very satisfactory results, and some not so satisfactory ones! (maths! RAWR.) But either way, i'd like to announce that i have quite a number of new pieces to be put up very soon!

But besides settling my promotional exams and making some new pieces for you guys, I've actually been selling stuff on sgselltrade such as my old clothes and items and i realised BOY, there are some really annoying people out there! People who ask a million questions, only to say "i'll pass", negotiating and negotiating and NEGOTIATING (for a $1 discount!! =O) or irresponsible sellers just make my blood BOIL. It makes me appreciate having YOU GUYS for customers! You guys really make selling stuff online so much more smooth and less stressful, so THANK YOU, customers of The Glass Bead, for being the best customers anyone could ask for!!

Hey everyone!

It's been a while once again. England was great. London was great. Cambridge was spectacular! The weather there alone is enough for me to wish I could stay there permenantly, but we all know we have responsibilitis back here in Singapore :) I had so much fun making friends, having excursions and just ABDSORBING the wonderful english culture in general! But the one thing I always miss about Singapore is our incredibly diverse food, so it's great to be back and eat the wonderful fish soup in my canteen again and all the things you can't really find in England like Chinese food, soup, noodles and rice! Anyway, i've made a little collage of some of my FAVOURITE photos from the trip, just to let you all know what i've been up to the last month :)

On another note, while i WON'T be putting any new items up for the next month or so as i'll be preparing for my JC 1 Promotional Exams, I am STILL ACCEPTING ORDERS on any of the existing items, so feel free to email me to place your order!

29th July 2008

Hello there!

I'll be gone from 4-19th August on a school trip to the UK! That means that I won't be able to accept any orders until I come back :( However, since there still is some time left before I depart our sunny little island and you're just DYING to get that piece, do put your order in f you are able to do a fast deal (ie. send me the money quickly, preferably through iBanking) and I will be able to mail your item out before you leave!

Until I get back! :)

12th July 2008

Introducing the first of The Glass Beads MONTHLY AUCTIONS! I've actually held an auction for The Glass Bead quite a long time ago but now i'm planning to introduce them as a monthly ongoing kind of thing to constantly bring you gals one-of-a-kind pieces NO ONE else will have! Starting our auctions is the Wild Like You piece, with a cute quirky little zebra charm on it. Kind of Che Che New York style actually, but so much more affordable! So start your bidding by clicking on the image above to go to our auctions page. Bidding starts at $14, you MUST leave your name and email. Terms and Conditions apply.

29th June 2008

Also, look forward to the auctions of one-of-a-kind Glass Bead pieces which will be starting in July and occurring every month! Happy start of the second half of the year everyone :)

3rd June 2008

I had a realisation today. I was surprised to find in my junk mail, various emails from online shops which i had applied to their mailing lists for upates. No, I was HORRIFIED!! Which basically means that my emails to you guys might be ending up in the junk mail box too! Sad, alone and unread by YOU! If you really want to receive notifications on new items and sales at The Glass Bead, do add me contact.glassbead@gmail.com to your contacts list in your respective emails so that the mail doesn't end up in junk :(:(:(

ADD CONTACT.GLASSBEAD@GMAIL.COM TO YOUR EMAIL CONTACTS SO THAT THE MAIL DOESN'T END UP IN JUNK!

Just in case :|

1st June 2008

Well, it's FINALLY the holidays, which means a break from hectic JC life and more time to update my site! Which is in dire need of updating, by the way :( I've added brand new items! It's so great to finally see NEW stuff up, and hopefully i can put out more over the holidays in between studying for my mid years. Some GORGEOUS new items, including a Hayden Panettiere inspired one, perfect for every day wear! Get them now before they all run out :DD

16th February 2008

Wow! It's been more than a month since my last update. I admit i've become incredibly lazy these days with so much going on at JC. So much has happened since my last update! We've already gotten our O level results, in which i did reasonably well, hence i'm staying in CJ! Posting this tuesday, for all who know me, I'm not very happy about it since some of the people I love are leaving! But i'll make it through because there are other great people staying and hopefully, coming in too =D

So anyway, personal life aside, i've finally found time to upload the new pieces onto the shop page, and not to mention i'm having a mini clearance! Almost all the prices of earrings have been reduced, so do check them out! Hopefully now that i've settled into JC life, i can find more time to make new items to put up on The Glass Bead!

5 January 2008

Happy New Year to everyone! I know I shouldn't be making excuses, but I've been so busy these past few weeks that i've hardly had time to come up with any new designs for The Glass Bead!!! =( The last week of the holidays was absolutely packed as I squeezed events into every single minute of the day before I was off for my first year of JC! Yes, i'm in JC now. Catholic Junior College to be exact, and orientation has been pretty wild. If any of you are or were in CJC, i'd love to know! We signed up for CCAs yesterday and I chose Photography and/or Editorial Club. Haha. I always thought it'd be fun to write for the school paper since they always seem to do so in books, but i'd definitely like to know more about Photography! I'm not sure if i'll be able to handle two CCAs though. It would make me even busier on top of running The Glass Bead with all the schoolwork that WILL be coming in time. Wish me luck! I'll be making and thinking of new pieces everytime I'm able to catch my breath and brainstorm =)

19 December 2007

How fun! The stickers I ordered just came in the mail, specially customised for The Glass Bead! Aren't they adorable =) You'll be seeing them stuck onto the little baggies whenever you order anything from here!

If you'd like to get your own stickers too, you can visit StiKy Business to get some with your name on them! I had to specially request for them to let me print my design and they were generous enough to accept ;)

17 December 2007

Once again, i've added new stuff! I should churn out more designs to keep you all occupied during the holidays but somehow a lot of thought needs to go into them so I can't make them as fast as I'd like! Anyway, I'd like to highlight my favourite piece from the new entries!

As you can see, I liked the necklace featured so much, I had to make myself a variation of it! It's so simple yet so sweet :) I'm keeping a piece for myself, of course. The antique gold one, but black jet is available too to give the necklace a bit of an edge! Hurry grab a piece before it all runs out!

15 December 2007

You guys may have noticed that I started putting Ads up on my site. Trust me, they're there for a reason! However i'm not suppose to influence you in anyway way to click on them unless you are truly interested! It's all powered be Google Adsense. I wanted to put up some image ads until i read the tagline of the ad they chose for me: a gigantic banner with the tagline "FLY NAKED", selling mens titanium jewelry.

So for now, i think i'll just stick to text ads til I find an ad without half naked men and suggestive taglines!
