For those of you who haven't heard, our friend and sometimes Sunday School teacher Don Thompson has been diagnosed with lung caner, along with a couple other things. Recently he began chemotherapy, and as is often the case, it has begun a long and hard journey for him. Don also recently began keeping a blog of his experiences through a service design for just that sort of thing. You can see his blog through the link at the right. He is going through quite a thing and could certainly use our support! Check it out if you have the chance!

With Hope,

Hey, fellow youth-groupies, are you a technical enthusiast like me? Do you have experience in many types of software or website management? Do you have an interest in managing our youth website in the future? Well I'm getting ready to l"graduate" from youth group next year and that means that someone will need to take over my webmaster responsibilities. So if you think you'd like to give it a shot, let me know and I'll fill you in on the details and maybe put you behind the wheel for a while!

I want YOU!

Attention Mission Trip-goers! You may have noticed the lovely Mission Trip News page over on the Navbar. This is where I will post all my information about Mission Trip fundraiser, meetings, etc. from henceforth. Hopefully we will have a written schedule of events soon. It is very important that you attend every event you possibly can! We need all the money we can get and you need all the info you can get! So check often for new events, and if you have any questions, talk to Chris or Pastor Judy.

Hello all! Happy Lunar New Year! So if you haven't heard, the July Mexico Mission Trip is in the planning stage and looking for sign ups! So check out the table in the back of fellowship hall and the informational meeting on Sunday, February 1! Don't miss out on this adventure!

Speaking of adventures, the photos from our last Adventure Sunday to the Pinnacles are now on display! Last year's 30 Hour Famine pictures are finally up too! Check them out!

Also, if you have any photos from youth events you'd like to see on the website, especially from our Pinnacles trip or the last Snow Trip, get them to Chris or me and we'll get them up for people to see! I don't have any photos of my own from the Snow Trip, so those would be great to see! As for the video of our last Snow Trip, it's still in the works, so check back often!

You may have noticed that the verse of the day is now over there... <-- It's still the same service, the same great sorts of daily verses, I just moved it. ;) Let me know if you have an opinion!

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”

Today is indeed a momentous day in youth group history! Why you ask? Well today marks the 730th day that the youth website has been in operation, making it an official two years old! Just think, two years and one day ago, there was no website to inform, empower, and entertain our youth group, just a newsletter. Now look at us! We've got news, videos, pictures, chat engines, and sign up forms! How awesome is that?

Happy Birthday!

Hello Youth Group! I'd like to introduce another addition to the site! (Yay!) Apparently, Chris got wind of those spiffy "blogs" available on our new fangled information superhighway. So, he has decided to start one himself! You can see his first entry on "Chris's Blog." (Hope you like the name 'cause it took me forever to come up with it.) Be sure to check it out and check back often for new entries! You can also use the RSS or ATOM feeds, if you're techie...
